Single CANNULA System
The Guide Cannula has a threaded cylindrical plastic pedestal molded around a piece of Teflon, fused silica, or PEEK tubing that extends below the pedestal.
Use Cerebond with mounting screws, or dental cement with mounting screws, to secure the pedestal.
The Internal Cannula fits onto the top of the Guide Cannula, enabling it to penetrate to a consistent depth. Transfers fluid or crystals from the system to the animal via a Teflon, fused silica, or PEEK tube which extends below the Guide Cannula.
The Cannula Dummy is installed to seal the top of the Guide Cannula and prevents tissue entry after removal of the Internal Cannula. The Cannula Dummy has a solid nylon filament which is inserted into the Guide Cannula tube; its rounded plastic cap
screws onto the Guide Cannula threaded post. The nylon filament is supplied long to be cut to desired length.

Pedestal height = 8.0mm (.315”) Pedestal diameter = 3.5mm (.138”)
“GRL” stop diameter = 4.318mm (.170”)

piece of stainless steel tubing that extends below the pedestal.
Use Cerebond with mounting screws, or dental cement with mounting screws, to
secure the pedestal.
The C313GRL and the C315GRL are a new improved version of our 22 and 26 gauge guide cannulas. The pedestal of this new version has a thread stop allowing a Cannula Dummy or Dust Cap to screw tightly against it so an animal is less likely tounscrew it while grooming.
These guides come with a standard 1mm upward projection.
Polyester mesh is available as an attachment to the guide pedestal.
Length below pedestal is 11mm (as standard) or your specified length.
Short Pedestal (Low-Profile Guide Cannula For Mice):
Pedestal height = 2, 4 or 5mm Pedestal diameter = 3.5mm (.138”)
A smaller model of our standard systems with a shorter pedestal designed to insure a lower profile on the head.
Use with our Cyanoacrylate Gel to eliminate the need for screws, Cerebond or dental cement.
Available in 2mm, 4mm, and 5mm pedestal sizes.
